ZZZZZZZZ .. Day 26 of A to Z Blogging Challenge - Things I Love

I admit it, I do enjoy my sleep. Some people might think that only lazy people enjoy sleep and that you should only have 5 or 6 hours sleep a night .. but I think I'd rather stick to my 8, thank you very much.

Plus I do enjoy the odd afternoon nap now and again .. and some people say that afternoon naps are important - although sometimes they're easier said than done, depending on your circumstances. It's well known that a lack of sleep is not good .. one of the (many) things that puts me off having children is that you would definitely lose some sleep for some while. I don't fancy that.

Sleeping is, of course, a time for dreaming. Now, I don't have many dreams that I remember, and when I do, they tend to be fairly odd dreams. So I won't delve into that particular subject. The other thing sleep is for, is for processing. This can be hard if you're not in a state of well being. It is well known and very true that, for people who are depressed, waking up in the morning is horrible. A lot of seemingly 'bad stuff' can be brought to the surface whilst you are processing it in your sleep.

One of the imperfections of the human body, to me, is snoring. I snore myself, so I have been told. A lot of people do. If you hear people snoring, it can be very annoying .. I wonder why the body works this way? This obviously happens during sleep - no sane person would make snoring noises whilst fully awake.

But hey ho, sleep is still a good thing. I know when I hit the lowest point of my life in 2006, my best friend was my bed, and I hated waking up. I find it hard to believe that anyone could sleep 4 or 5 hours a day and still be fully functioning and alive.

So anyhow, that's it for the blogging challenge! Some of the topics were easy, some were difficult, some I had to get ideas for. I now feel more motivated to get back into normal blogging.

I don't think I'll be doing quite as many blog posts in May, though! Thanks for reading and all the best to you on your journey :)

  1. Hello there.
Sleep is very important since it's at night that our bodies get to renew. My life is hectic and I'm in the 4-6 hour range for sleeping. As a result, lack of sleep does tend to catch up with me, but I'm trying to do better.
Congratulations on surviving the A-Z Challenge! I didn't get to visit your blog during the crazy month of April so I'm popping over today from the Road Trip. My goal is to visit all the blogs that linked up, before next year's challenge starts up again.

A few things this week has taught me

Well well. This one really has been one of the toughest weeks in a good while. It's pretty rare for me to get too depressed these days, ...
